Robert Klinski studied
electrical engineering and telecommunications at the Technical
University Hamburg-Harburg and received his doctorate with honors from
the Munich Technical University in the field of digital signal processing
for multicarrier systems. During his doctorate he worked with the
Fraunhofer Institute for Communication Systems in Munich where he
designed wired and wireless communication systems and held the position
of a project and group leader. Furthermore, he is the author of numerous publications in
the field of digital telecommunications and mentioned as inventor in several patents.
Robert Klinski has
been working in the field of intellectual property since 2002 and is the founder of PATENTSHIP. He has extensive
experience in infringement and nullity proceedings as well as in
preparing and prosecuting German, European, PCT- and US-patent
applications particularly in the area of electrical engineering,
telecommunications, digital signal processing, RF technology, digital
and analogue circuit design, coding, cryptography, software, medical
systems, mechanics and optics.
Robert Klinski lectures frequently on software
patents under German, European and international patent law.
He is fluent in German, English and Polish. Furthermore, he is member of VPP and EPI.

Dr. rer. nat. Dipl.-Phys. Dipl.-Kfm. Oliver Baldus
German Patent Attorney | European Trademark and Design Attorney
Oliver Baldus studied physics
at the University of Bayreuth with a main focus on informatics and
hydrodynamics. In cooperation with the Bayer AG he investigated optical
materials for holographic data storage solutions.
After working at the
Fraunhofer-Institute in Trier in the field of security aspects in open
networks and cryptography he received a doctorate at the University of
Bayreuth in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance and molecular
dynamics in organic glasses. In addition he received a degree in
business administration with a focus of commercial information
technology and finances. Oliver Baldus was educated as
patent attorney in the electronics department of a leading German law
firm and has more than ten years of experience in the field of electronics,
telecommunication and information technology.
Oliver Baldus is an author of numerous
talks and articles about economic aspects of patents and sophisticated
patent strategies, which take into account the unique position of a
company within supply chains.

Dipl.-Ing. Tobias Kalinowski

Tobias Kalinowski studied electrical engineering at the University of Bremen. Subsequently, Tobias Kalinowski worked in the field of development, manufacturing and testing of liquid sensors. Here, Tobias Kalinowski gained extensive experience in the field of semiconductor technology and MEMS.
Tobias Kalinowski has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 2000. His training as a German Patent Attorney graduated Tobias Kalinowski in patent law firms in Bremen and Hamburg. After that Tobias Kalinowski worked for BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances GmbH as patent consultant. The main focus of his work is in particular filing, opposition and appeal procedures before the German and European Patent Office as well as before non-European Patent Offices. Electrical engineering, automation technology, sensors, MEMS, semiconductor manufacturing technology, medical technology and renewable energy are technical focuses of his work.
He speaks German, English and Portuguese. He is also a member of the VPP.

is a freelance collaborator of PATENTSHIP and studied physics at the University of Berlin where he obtained his doctorate in the field of atom and
molecular physics. Sebastian Matthies has been active
in the field of industrial property law since 2006. His main areas of
interests include laser and vacuum technology, semiconductor technology,
optical components, mechanics, electronics and medical engineering.
Sebastian Mathies speaks German, French and English.

Winfried
Dohmen is a freelance collaborator of PATENTSHIP and studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of
Munich where he obtained his doctorate in the field of mechatronics. His main areas of
interests as patent attorney include mechanical engineering, automotive,
production engineering, medical engineering and aviation technology.

Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Binde
Dr. Stephan Binde obtained his degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Darmstadt in 1991 in the field of control
systems engineering and received a doctorate in 1996 for statistical signal processing research. He worked for Siemens Communications and Nokia Siemens Networks and has more than 10 years of experience in hardware and software development, systems engineering, system testing, and quality and project management within international project teams. Dr. Stephan Binde holds numerous patents in the fields of DSL, GSM, UMTS, ATM and IP networks. After working with an international law firm he joined PATENTSHIP in 2011.
His interests include wireline and wireless networks, speech and video codecs, data protocols, signal processors, microprocessors, DSP drivers, real-time operating systems, integrated circuits design, communications engineering, and control systems engineering.
